Capt. Dodge served in the United States Coast Guard for nearly 9 years. During this time, he was involved in many yacht/ship inspections including the Exxon Valdez.  This knowledge gained is not available to the average person and is used everyday during inspections onboard Yachts and Small Craft.  After his Honorable Discharge, Dennis accepted a position at The Outboard Marine Corp. Ralph Evinrude Test Center in Stuart Florida.  These three years lead to hands on Outboard Motor experience which helps troubleshoot and detect and prevent future catastrophic failure.  During his tenure at OMC, Capt. Dodge started what is now one of the most reputable Marine Survey Businesses in South Florida, DODGE MARINE SURVEYORS.  Capt. Dodge has personally conducted over 3,000 various types of Marine Surveys.
